Projection At Its Finest

Every mythophile goes to the grave "knowing" that their particular campfire stories are the right ones, and that the rest are pagan blasphemies to be harshly dealt with in some heavenly kicking contest. The "Christian" perspective is simply one (1) more in a series.

How does anyone know they've got the "genuine" event and not the imitation? Long answer short: they don't know. They've made up and/or picked one (1) that they like, and decided to run with it. Loads of flood tales (which shouldn't be surprising; flooding occurs in lots of places), many with a supernatural bent to them.....but nothing that couldn't have been dreamed up by the human imagination. As always, the nontheist's odds of continuing dismizzal remain the favorable choice, owing to the theist's lack of extraordinary proof.

As for the "will" of deity: bold statements, until one realizes their generic origins and applications.
